Speaker size for rear OEM mounts?

I've searched the forum for info on this and haven't been able to find it so it was recommended that I try to find some info and advice here. I have already ordered the L and R speaker mounts for the rear storage compartment and want to order the speakers while I'm waiting for them to show up. Does anyone know what size speaker(s) I need for a straight fit? The diagram on Pelican shows it would use an oblong looking speaker while a web and image search for PN# 986-551-431-00-01C-OEM always seems to show two 3.5"-ish speakers per mount. Any advise on this would be great so that I don't have to wait til I get the parts (which are of course delayed from Porsche in Atlanta) to measure and order the speakers. I'm also open to suggestions on which speakers would sound best, as long as they are for these mounts. I'm being lazy and doing a quick fix for now, maybe do a more robust custom job a year or two down the road.

Update

Well, my OCD didn't kill me before the mounts arrived, but it was close. Anyways, for anyone who might be considering ordering these, they sport two 2.9" holes on each mount. I have some JL 3.5" speakers coming that need a 3 3/16" hole so some modifying may be necessary, how much remains to be seen. I'll try to post an update and maybe pics if I don't destroy everything in frustration during my attempt.

Hmmmm, the holes will definitely not support 3.5" speakers without ruining the whole reason behind ordering the mounts in the first place (too lazy to fabricate some custom ones). If I had known then what I know now I probably would have just made my own but nonetheless I did get the JL's in there and I'm thankful that they are behind a headrest and cannot be seen. I will refrain from posting pics so I don't get completely flamed for the....well, crappy is putting it nicely, but crappy job I did of getting them in. They sound great so the overall objective was achieved. No one needs to know where that great sound is coming from though. Ever.
