Windshield replacement
Ouch! Got a stone bruise in my 996 windshield the other day. The insurance co. will cover replacement, but I am inclined to try and have it repaired first and see if I can stand looking at the repair. If I do opt for replacement-I want an OEM windshield or something just as good, and I want it done well.
We live in Maine, but will be taking the car through Vermont and New Hampshire soon and could have a replacement done on the trip. Does anyone on this forum have any advice or has had a similar situation? Thanks! |

I recommend having it replaced with an OEM windshield at a Porsche dealer. Even though the dealer will likely use an outside vender for installation, you still want the job done at the dealer in case of any screwup.

Yes, last time I was with my friend in Dallas and he has also replaced his windshield. We went to the nearest service center and that was a good one with expert technicians. We replaced there and now its looks good. It is working properly. I just remembered the name of that service center and that was European Service Center. You should go to an affordable Auto parts shop to replace your car windshield.
