Hi Folks:
Wheel spacers on Ebay are 60% - 80% less expensive than like parts from Porsche or our friendly neighbourhood aftermarket parts suppliers. I know, quality, reliability, relationship. But these are not complicated items- and we require no technical expertise or customer advice. Every Tom, Dick, and Lei sells them. Can it really be that Chinese lathes are out of round or that the billet they buy is horribly flawed? What do you think? SMS |

Hi JFP;
I absolutely agree. The question remains, however, is whether the more expensive units are indeed "better helmets" or the same quality helmets. SMS |

While I have not made an extensive study of them, he cheap ones I have seen are just that, cheap and poorly made.

I agree a cheap spacer should be the same as an expensive spacer. I think we might agree that name brand spacers are kind of overpriced.
Neither is likely to fail and you're right also that the technology is too simple to screw up. The only concern I might have is the hub fitment, but it will be obvious pretty quick if that's a problem.

I have seen a cheap set with the hub centric counterbore being too shallow and as a result the spacer wouldn,t fit up flat to the hub.
