Gt3 rear main seal depth ?

We are putting a rear main seal in my buddies 997 GT3. I cannot find anywhere , the procedure for how deep the seal should be set. I am assuming because, you just press it in with the factory tool.
I have a decent aftermarket tool, and have the seal pushed in just below flush, which is about 5-6 mm below the crank flange.
I am willing to buy the factory tool ($ wholy cow ) , but was hoping to get this back together for the weekend .
I have the info for the non gt3 motors, at 13 mm. Does not look like it is even possible to go in that far.
The one we removed was in there crooked, so I could not even take an accurate measurement off that one .
Any advice appreciated. Even if someone has a pic of one installed, so I could get a decent idea. I am pretty confident that I will have no leaks where I am at now, but would like to do it right .
Thanks

The pricey factory tool automatically sets the installed depth of the PTFE RMS at 13MM from the flywheel face of the crank.
