996 GT3 Transmission removal
Hello racers,
the clutch pedal of my 996 GT3 Mk2 sometimes does not release itself. The endoscope camera shows that what seems to be be the clutch release arm has a dent, that might get stuck with the release when lifting the clutch pedal. Might be due to a bad installation from a transmission change of the previous owner. I want to pull the transmission now without removing the engine. Anyone has a guide for this or a video? Thanks for your help, best from Munich, Markus http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1501680527.JPG |
Don't the various IMS sites give full directions? I know they are not GT3 specific, but they cover the basics.
It's shouldn't be too complicated. Disconnect everything on the trans, disconnect the CV joints, pull the flange bolts and slide it back without dropping it. |

Thanks! We got the gearbox out and kept the engine in place ;-)
