Thinking of putting my name on my 930...
2 questions.
1. What do think of putting one's name on their car? May look even more like a race car, but is it tacky/conceited? My car is driven on the street, primarily to get to and from track events. It is close to becoming unstreetable. May do club racing ('06 at earliest; Would be GT1). 2. Where would you put the name. I was thinking (B. Bishop) above the door, but have also seen them on the door just under driver's window. I'd use vinyl graphics so it could easily be removed. |
I would put it in either of those two places. On a street car probably on the quarter glass... However it could be perceived as tacky, so I would also make it subtle... Maybe a darker color...

Does the car already have race graphics on it? If not, I'd go low-key.

I have my numbers for PCA events on the front windshield, top rt corner (pass side) and in the rear quarters. Car isn't very subtle as I have a large carbon fiber banana wing, front splitter etc, boxed rockers etc.

Not subtle indeed.... Name on the qtr. glass isn't gonna stand out then.. :)
|
My car has its 'less than subtle' days, too. ;)

Bailey, How are you? I'd love to see your car at some point! Feel free to e-mail me and stop by at some point. My shop is getting renovated now but I will have a 914-6 GT in to get some restoration work done.
Cheers, James |
