Crazy Big Willow Springs times last weekend

Alot of us VARA racers got the best Big Willow times ever. Brian O' got a 1:31.9 !!!!! In his 2.0L race car!!! Kevin O' 1:32 (2.5L) Mark Scott got his best at 1:34 (2.0L) I got my best at 1:35 (2.5L) plus tons of other people doing the same.
These are cars with 225 tires and NO aerodynamics..... HANG on.

Side note: You may want to check you tire pressure guages. I was having the most crappy handling ever until the last race. A fellow racer came over when I was trouble shooting the car and told me his handling problems were caused by an inaccurate tire gauge. Everything was perfect at the last race, I did not change a thing, so I was scratching my head. I grabbed four gauges from fellow racers, and tested them. Mine was 2.5 pounds off from everyone else! When my gauge showed 27.5 pounds it was really 25 pounds. Big difference handling wise. I dropped over four seconds my next run.
FYI they were all Longacre units.

Whoa...!!!

Those are some r e a l l y quik times guys. My hat's off to ya.

Big point with me is that like you say, NO aero kits and 2.5L or less.....

wow.

I didn't have the ca-hoenies to hold the go pedel down thru T8 until I DID put a huge wing on the rear of my car (my training wheels...)

so, if you guyz can run those times with small engines and no aero assistance.... maybe I should throw one of you the keys to my '73 w. built 3.2L and 60" wing. I can only do 31's w. a best of :30.4 at BW.

You guys might pull off a...what?... :27 or :28..??

you guyz got my respect.

RS,

I will post some videos tonight.
Turn 8 Flat out Shift light on at 7500...WOW...

I will post a video of a serious save in 8 as well. Almost lost it.

Good fun...

If you are tossing the keys to anyone, make sure you let me know when. I will make sure I am there to catch them. LOL...
