DE insurance
I heard that some insurance companies will insure for driver's ed events. Does anybody have any info on which companies do this.

This just circulated around the club. I have no further info but i was told it was used by club racers and DE guys with the more expensive cars. Could be 3-5k a year. A bargain if your running a $100k car.

If you're running high speed multi-lap sessions on a track with other cars and think there's a chance you'll total your car, that $5,000 deductible makes sense. But it's pretty steep if you're concern is running over an orange cone.

i have my de insurance from laurel i have a 95 993 and have a 20 day on track policy $35000.00 of coverage with a $5000.00 deductable my policy last year was about $850.00

American Collectors Insurance is basically $300/yr for $20,000 coverage with a 20% deductible, if I'm remembering it right. It will not cover competitive or timed events. It's not available in all states.
