Spray on paint protection?
I remember someone posted a link to a spray on paint protection. I tried to search but nothing came up. All I remember is that you spray it on and it turns into a clear rubbery film on your car. You then can peel it off whenever you needed to. I'm repainting my bumper and want to try this spray on stuff to protect the paint. If not I will just got the clear film approach.

www.quick-peel.com
Chad, I took this pic this weekend. My car had a new paint job at the beginning of last year, and before I took it to the track I started using Quick-Peel. As you can see, the front end still looks pretty much untouched. I have 1 chip on the front bumper, and that is from where I hit a bird at the top of turn 10 at VIR. I don't think anything is gonna protect against that. Stuff works like a charm though. I spray my entire front end, all the way up to the door jambs, cowl. Brian

FYI - I'm sure people will question my affiliation with the product/vendor. I don't really have any. Last year I happened to come upon the product, and they happened to be testing it. My car was one of the first ones they even tried spraying it on, so technically, I took a chance with my fresh paint job. Since they are local to me it just happened to work out great!
They spray this stuff on a ton of NASCAR cars and trucks and go-karts believe it or not. I normally spray mine and leave it on for about 4-6 months, then respray. Leaving it on too long makes it a little brittle, especially in extreme cold temps. Plus the longer you leave it on, he more perforated (sp?) it gets and it tends to tear more when you peel it off. I peeled my hood off though in one huge continuous sheet. Pretty darn cool. They are a good group of guys. No affiliation other than pretty much 1 happy customer.

Oh, and the other cool thing is - when you get home from the track and you have all these rubber marks on the front end, just wash the car, and wax straight over the quick peel. Its just like a clearcoat. You can put wax on it, glaze, rubbing compound, anything similar. A little wax or glaze and the black rubber marks come right off.
