James Garner Racing Movie-1970
In the late 1960'-early 1970's Jim Gardner had several race teams that followed on the heels of his staring in "Grand Prix".
Around this time he produced a film documenting his race teams I think during 1970. Scooter Patrick was driving his Surtee's F500 car in the SCCA series. I've seen the film in the theater when it came out and one time I think on Speed in its early days prior to NASCAR. Does anyone know if this film is available on DVD???? |

IMDB is your friend, for all movie-related trivia...
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001258/ And here's The Racing Scene: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180946/ (it's to the point where my wife can't watch a movie without wasting the first 5 minutes of the thing reading all the liner notes and trivia on IMDB... of course, she was a Film Major...)

You can still buy a copy. I got one earlier this year from some on-line vendor in California. I think it was something like "Big Daddy's". Here's the website of the place that I'm thinking of.

I just searched my email records and I bought my copy of "The Racing Scene" from Dayton Motorsports Video. I couldn't find it listed right now. If I were you I'd email them and see if they are still selling them.
