Need Opinions on Tires for DE Car

I have an 85 Carrera lowered with adjustable suspension 930 brakes and wheel set up. They are Fuch 7in fronts(944 rims)with 225's and 9in rears with 245's Both sets are 16in. My question is what tires would you run with this setup. Mainly track (DE) with some street driving. Choices are limited in these sizes. I have BF Goodrich R1's on the car now. Thanks in advance.

16x9 is a deal breaker for most tire companies unless you go full R-comp (Hoosier, R1, Z214).

If you need good grip wet or dry: RE-71R, RE-11, RA-1 All of these are dual purpose street/track capable. These are a good match for your car:

I use RE-11 in 245 on my 9" Fuchs and 205 on 7's up front. Love them on the track and zero complaints on the street. I've been told they are wider then some similar sized models, something to check on for up front.

A lot more choice with 17" wheels. And a custom offset will get 245/275.
