Some pictures of the new ride, now SL8 GT3. A 2004 996.2 GT3, slate grey. Pretty much the only thing to get me out of the 70RSR (pictures earlier in this thread).

Not a Porsche, but a race car on the track. I mostly am posting because we finally finished on the podium. Third overall at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ChampCar Endurance race this past weekend (14-hour). We had just put the car back together after a crash at Barber last November and had never been to Charlotte before, so many planets lined up. Thank goodness for cool shirts.

It's a Beck. Fender flares are the most conspicuous "tell", none of the other replicas (or originals) use them.

And this one, not a car but it is a Porsche. How many people can say they have raced a Porsche tractor at Laguna Seca ! Thats me in the blue shirt, can't wait till RRVII, I have a big surprise for the Porsche community.

An aircooled 911 at the Ring ... now there I am truly jealous!!! I see lots of helmets, so it was a track day? Or did you brave it with the 'touristen' - I tried that once, and never again. It felt like an accident waiting to happen, and by the time we finished the lap, the place was closed for a wreck already (this was 30 minutes after it opened for the day).

Hi,it was an trackday with 162 Porsches for a day, i was the only aircooled one.
And an Vw 1500 Beetle was also making an aircooled feild to get in the way of the Gt3 crowd.
They charged Close to 850 euros to attend for 10 hours of open track with the long straight open for full throttle.
I am glad i did this, but next time it will be an another trackday with similar cars as mine.
I did 10 laps and i got seasick……….






My car has been frequently been raced at the ring and Spa by former owner and builder.
Now ST is retired, and been used for trackdays and trips to Germany.
