1979 911sc

Unfortunately, I must sell my 1979 911sc. I’ve owned the car since 1998. Approx. 160k miles.
The previous owner had put the Carrera chain tensioners on, Dilivar head studs, pop valve.

While I’ve owned it, I have
·Replaced the heater blower and climate control electronics
·Replaced windshield gasket and quarter window gaskets
·Replaced sunroof cables and seals
·Added H4’s
·Added late model front valence with fogs (not hooked up) and chin spoiler
·Added late model whale tail
·Added Momo wheel and shift knob,
·CD player and speakers,
· Installed Bilstein Sports/HD shocks,
·Installed SSI exhaust and B&B (2in/2out)
·Added strut bar
·Repainted car in original polar silver.
·Fitted cover
·Aluminum peddles
·Recent plugs
·Replaced plug wires (braided steel)

I’ve also replaced many little clips, seals, and knobs.
Car has had valves adjusted every 3k miles. I have driven the car coast to coast three times with absolutely no problems.
Interior is in excellent condition; there are a couple puncture holes in the rear seats where it looks like the PO put something on the shelf and it punched into the upholstery. The front end has no stone chips, as I’ve recently had the paint touched up.
If you’re interested, want more info, or additional pictures please email at: etip@comcast.net The car is located in Seattle, WA.

Looks like a 512 BB sitting next to 911. Is that for sale.

Mojo,
how would you compare the two? in terms of overall driving experience? would it be fairer to compare the porsche turbo against the 308?

Yes, pretty active on fchat and with the Ferrrari club. You should make it out to some events. They're a great bunch of guys and you wouldn't believe the caliber of some of the cars around Seattle.

etip, here; etip there.

The 911 and 308 are very similar power wise. The 308 is much stiffer. The 911 is "easier" to drive hard/ throw around. Both very fun cars. Ferrari's are more visceral... It's hard to describe.

Interested in car. Could you post more detailed pics or e-mail to jackkayajan@aol.com. I see that new head studs were installed, was the motor rebuilt as well?

Thanks,
Jack.
