Preserved 1978 911 SC Coupe
This low mile all original and preserved 911 SC Sunroof Coupe has just the right amount of patina and use. Bitter Chocolate with Cork interior. Amazing all original 1978 Porsche 911SC. Only 57,800 miles, beautiful paint (slight oxidation on roof), interior, and drive train in outstanding condition. The 3.0 liter engine is very tight, and the 5 speed manual is smooth shifting. Power windows and mirrors, power sun roof, headlamp washers, leather seats, fog lights, etc.
ZERO Oil Leaks! Compression Readings 125-125-125-125-125-130 Carrera Cam Chain Tensioner Upgrade H4 headlight conversion Newer tires, Toyo Proxes (look like Dunlop SP 9000 series tires) Original Alloy Fuchs with Porsche badge Includes ALL the original equipment, including: - Unused complete original first aid Kit - Factory bag with fan belt, and plastic piece to lay on when working on the car in emergency. - Space Saver Spare and Air Compressor - Tool Kit - Manuals The Lowdown Brakes are stock spec and have plenty of life left. Oxidation on roof would probably buff out easily but I prefer not go down the slippery slope of unnecessary restoration. The early SCs had the deep pile carpet and it is not stained and still looks new. While the dash is remarkable, not cracked of course but not even faded. All knobs and dials are bright. Only mechanical modification is the car was lowered to European Ride Height by previous caretaker. Electronic modifications include a modern stereo but no extra holes were cut for speakers, would be easy to plop in a period correct blaupunkt. I liked the sound so did not change back. There is also an aftermarket alarm. Both would be easy to remove in a few hours if so obliged. Transmission shifts wonderfully. A great 901. No synchro issues at all. Zero rust. No accident damage. I drive the car on nice days. Done plenty of drives up to the mountains. Even participated in a few PCA driver's ed events and the car performed very well. No overheating at all. Instructor didn't even want to drive the car as he said it was too nice to track. Headliner is white and is good shape. Minor, minor tear less than a quarter inch in sunroof was glued by previous owner. Correct white on one side, black on the other sunvisors are nice, too. Not all puffy and crunchy. I have the car serviced at Storz garage in Denver so Mike and Bob know the car well and can talk about its condition or I welcome a PPI at another shop. Check out the link to about 75 photos. These should answer any questions you might have. 1978 SC For Sale pictures by jimkjim - Photobucket Additionally, comes with a very nice Porsche car cover, color matched custom sheep skin seat covers and a full set of Coco Mats. Serious enquiries only, no trades, cash only. $20,500 303-210-8342 |

Did I mention that the owner of the vehicle from 1988-1999 (miles 14,660-31,829) documented every tank of gas purchased including date and cost per tank/gallon! The book also includes every lubrication, repair, tire rotate and misc. stuff. This guy was meticulous and the owner for the majority of this fine auto's life on the road. That's pedigree. |

I would like to thank another Pelican for correcting my ad. The original, stock transmission in this 911SC is the 915..not the 901. Thank you!

Just back from a wonderful long weekend in Aspen. Took the SC over Independence Pass, a true drivers road.
