Macan oil temp
After checking out the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3, we just purchased a new Macan (base model) last week. We just love the handling and the interior layout.
One question I had was concerning the oil temperature. Ours seems to run at ~217F when fully warmed up in stop and go traffic. Is this typical? Just wondering what the average operating temp should normally be (The water temp rises to 200F and stays put). Thanks!

Our Macan S runs with water temperature of exactly 200 deg F as does yours. Water circulation (pump activation) seems to be controlled by the ECU to maintain this. Oil temp varies a bit above and below this.
Think you are AOK.

Yep, definitely normal. Mines is at 217 when fully warmed up as well.

Thanks everyone!
I also recall reading on a different forum that the oil temperature runs lower when sport mode is engaged, although I have not seen this.
