Hello - take a look at the link below to an article that talks about the Type 955 Cayenne. Hope this helps. In addition, I would highly recommend getting a thorough PPI by an indy mechanic.

Bought an 08 S yesterday. Plenty powerful even without Sport Mode engaged and corners well. Looking forward to taking it skiing and on mountain roads to get to trail heads. Only issue to get fixed is proximity sensors which constantly blare at intersections. The issue could just be dirty connections to the sensors, which meand pulling the front end off the car or something as simple as removing a metal license plate frame, but since mine are plastic...
If you go for it you will like it but beware if the engine makes ticking sounds, which it does before total failure and the driveshaft bushings which can lead to other expensive repairs. From hat I have learned these are virtually bulletproof, especially the 6 cylinder, but expect annual maintenance around $2K.

Just had a long conversation with the mechanic that works on my wife’s A6 about the Cayenne. What I learned is that repairs and maintenance can be insanely expensive. Brake pads $700, full service about $2K., new shocks $4K and on and on. I read on Rennlist to figure a budget of $2K per year for regular maintenance. If anything serious goes south, other than engine, figure many thousand. Not for the faint of heart unless you are a total DIY guy, and even then parts are not cheap $30 per spark plug, then add new coil packs.... reconsidering my purchase. The good news is that the S has a clean bill of health other than a very minor oil leak. Have to drop motor to fix, so figure $2K to fix that. Ain’t happening.
