Question Sat in a Cayenne today???

Went to the Cleveland auto show and spent some time in a Cayenne. I'm not sure what to think. I suppose it's better than the Ford, Lexus, Honda etc. suv's but it really changes focus of the Porsche display. Especially when the turbo model has huge red brake calipers screaming at you though the wheels. Since my cab is sitting tucked away in the garage, and there's still snow on the ground, I guess it would be nice to drive the Cayenne instead of my Grand Cherokee. Hmmmm, if I only had a spare $61k, better make that $80k for the turbo, lying around. And another thing, the only Porsche that you could get in was the Cayenne. Even the Boxsters were locked tight.

I think it's a pretty cool SUV, if you have to have an SUV. By far and away the best application is to tow your full-race 911, however.

I would drive one. As SUVs go I'm sure it is tops.

At the Chicago autoshow the VW Toureg was directly across from the Cayenne display... I was more drawn to the Toureg. Plus in an SUV, for me at least, I'm not concerned about 0-60 times. I'd rather have the rumored V10 diesel in the Toureg.

Exactly my thoughts. The V10 is supposed to be the perfect engine. Gobs of torque and power, and MPG even!

I just bought my wife a new BMW X5. Had the Toureg been available, one would have been in our garage tonight.

I'm impressed after doing 190km/h on the Autobahn and still almost having my doors sucked off by an overtaking Cayenne.

Possibly being driven by a soccer mom on the phone slapping 3 children on the back seat at the same time.

They rule.
