A bit OT but...Cayenne or Touareg

This is a bit OT. I needed to vent...

I'm in the camp that believes Porsche is making a huge mistake by producing the Cayenne; most especially if they decide not to race it which appears to be the case.

That said, if the car manufacturer I admire most is going to go this route, they could at least present a model that is styled better than a Hyundai!

Its very close cousin, the Touareg, looks a damn site better. In fact, after 1-2 model years have come and gone, it just may be the Touareg (they really need to do something about that name) which will be proudly trailering my early 911 race (yet to come) to Lime Rock, The Glenn and Pocono.

Not a bad looking rigg...

And the Cayenne

I could not agree more! Why try to make the SUV look like a pregnant 911? In the beginning I was open to the idea, if it meant Porsche stayed independent and maybe used the cash to get back into racing.

But it looks like they are about the money only. I do hold out hope that they know what they are doing though. Last time I checked I didn't own a car company so there is hope that they know more about it than me.

Mmmmm, I think the Cayenne looks better than the Touareg, but that's just opinion based on pictures of vehicles that don't yet exist. Hard to really form a solid opinion on vapor.

And Touareg? Yeah, funny name - kinda like Passat or Kharmann-Ghia, perhaps?

Your right, in the first picture, (front shot) it's fender styling looks alot like the Hyundai Santa Fe. Hey, if it's a duck, then call it a duck.
