Thinking of buy 02/03 turbo cayenne
First question
There are 2002 models for sale, but it was my understanding that they didn't sell the Cayenne until 2003, so just looking for a little clarification on that. From my research it appears the PCM (not the ECM) that it controls basically audio system, The AC, the Nav, and the instrument cluster indicators. In some cars is this basically the large head unit for the radio in the center stack? Is it that way for the the very first models? If not where is the PCM? I'm going to look at one tomorrow and it's an 02 turbo (mileage 109k) the owner said it has a bad PCM. I am a fairly good mechanic so things like this don't scare me too bad. I'm just wondering if anyone can shed some light on where the PCM is on these very early models. The How to articles don't address it. |

Recommend a vin and run Carfax before anything else. That will get you info on what it really is not just what is advertised. Have vehicle checked out by a Porsche Specialist, Scanned and air suspension, compressor and dampers (They leak). Get service Info. and recipes from owner. Turbo's and v8 burn oil....... |
