Side view mirrors with blind spot detection
 

I have a Cayenne with side view mirrors that don't have the blind spot detection. Does anyone know if the blind spot feature is self-contained and if I find side view mirrors with the blind spot detection, that I can add these and get them to work simply by plugging the wire harness in?

I have had my Cayenne for a couple of months so I am by n means an expert but I think the answer is no. There is a module involved and then you would need to update or replace other parts as the settings are buried in the PCM menus. You might want to as this over on Rennlist or CayenneForums.

Thanks! We really wanted the Diesel and we found a low mileage version that has everything we wanted - other than the blind spot detection. I will post the question in the other forums...
