Dealer wanted $2300 I did it for $200

We absolutely love our 2013 Cayenne GTS. It came time for it's 80K service. I thought let me see how much the dealer wants to do it. Got a quote of just over $2300.00. I about hit the floor. It's basically changing the spark plugs, oil and filter change, and all the other filters in the car. (air and cabin) took me about 3 hours, and a little less than $200.00. It calls for a whole lot of "inspections" They were also going to replace all the coil retaining bolt and the engine brace bolt. First time I've ever seen aluminum bolts. I bought and Autel unit about a year ago, rest the service interval and I was done.

That’s great, how did you get plugs for that low?

Yes there is a lot of aluminum bolts, they are replaced as a precaution. I think the caliper bolts are alu too, and must be replaced.

My wife just got (yesterday) a 2012 S with another year on the CPO. I’ll do all the work myself too, they are easy to work on.

Most people that own porsches don't challenge the price, just pay it, and move on.

The local Porsche dealership wanted $ 1,600.00 for the 40K service. Its an oil change and new spark plugs. That is all, they do not do filter changes at this service. I did this myself plus air filters and cabin filter for $ 356.00. Yes, I discovered my Cayenne S very easy to work on myself.
