No sound from stereo
 

My 05 Cayenne has an aftermarket system installed. Randomly speakers make a crackly sound then later, no sound. Subs still work.

Week or so later, back up camera goes black - shows nothing

Before camera issue I suspected wiring issues (based on speaker cracking) but was told likely amp is shot. Now with camera down - I’m thinking wiring issue.

Anyone experience this? Any thoughts or suggestions ?

First thing I would check is the battery. Old batteries have a way to make the car seem haunted.

EDIT: When I went to go get a smog check today my factory radio was acting up. The Satellite radio worked but displayed the previous radio (FM) info. I couldn’t change the satellite radio stations but I could change the other radio stations and the Radio Data System was working for every music option but Satellite radio.

After driving the satellite radio started working normally.

I bought a new battery, installed it, and everything works well now. One thing to note, my courtesy lights turned off almost immediately prior to the battery change.

Modern cars go wonky when the battery goes out.
