Anyone DIY Macan curb rash repair?
I was thinking of getting Wurth Wheel Repair kit, but the kit isn't available. So in the meantime, I thought I would ask here how they did theirs and did they like the results. I have done this type of work before on a Mini and Infinti, but there was more detailed info. especially the paint, which is my main concern for the Macan as I want exact colour match.

I have repaired my 80's BMW wheels in the past with Wurth Silver Wheel Paint which is still available and it was a near perfect match. Some customers have said it was a good match on their late model Porsche's as well.
The repair process would be similar though, start with a 400 grit sandpaper or slightly less aggressive if the scratches aren't deep, and work your way down until the material is smooth. |

It seems like the main components of the Wurth Wheel Repair kit are;
Wurth Self Etch Primer Wurth Silver Wheel Paint Wurth Clear Laquer Spray All in stock and available on the Pelican site. There is a cleaning solvent and microfiber included in the kit as well but I am sure you could substitute an isopropyl alcohol and quality microfiber for the cleaning prep after sanding. It seems Wurth only offers one "silver wheel paint" marketed for all European vehicles. |
