What drains the battery more?
My 2005 955 is a regular Garage Queen. Safe secure in the locked garage behind a gate I don’t need to lock the doors. The car is driven maybe once every 3-4 weeks.
What drains the battery more? Leaving is locked or unlocked? I read somewhere that locking the vehicle drains less energy from the battery than leaving it unlocked. Thanks |
Locked activates the interior motion sense. (somewhat draining) - that can be shut off with a quick press shortly after locking.
Unlocked should be minimal drain. |
That’s what I was thinking. I normally park it unlocked, and the batteries in my Cayenne last about 8 years.
Thanks |
I leave mine on a battery tender if I am not driving it for a week or two. The same with the 911s.

Locking many vehicles shuts down most of the onboard small computers.
