It was bound to happen sometime...

Saw my first pepper truck today. No flash. No wave. Initiated or returned. By either one of us. I like it like that. I hope it stays that way.

When I see an air-cooled Porsche coming the other way... I roll down my window. I flash. I wave. I need to hear the car as it goes by. I watch it in the mirrors as it speeds away. I smile. Life is good. Now that was a Porsche, I think to myself.

The pepper wagon was boring to look at. Could have been from any carmaker. I had my windows down already -- the pepper truck passed by silently. I wasn't tempted in the least to follow it in my mirrors... why bother. It's got no soul. A truck named after a seasoning? It's a Porsche? Yeah right.

WWJD? Would he flash a Cayenne? How about you?

Guess I'll burn in hell with the rest of the Cayenne haters.

I agree on the Cayenne. Saw one on the dealer lot the other day for the first time and it was downright..........boring. Didn't stand out at all. Oh well.

How about giving me a flash and wave for my - dare I say it - water cooled Porsche!?

Don't hate me....I'd rather have the Toureg......with the cool diesel!

Looks better, good trailering power, and it's cheaper. (kinda!)

Now, the Carrera GT, now THATS another story!

More like "WWF(erry)D"....

Be a few more months before they show up down here. I reserve my judgement 'till then. I expect to be amazed at the size.

Unhappy

I noticed that most H2O powered Porsches don't know to flash, guess the pepper is just another addition to the clan!

So when did you learn about the flash? I didn't learn about it until I found Porsche Pete's Board!

I found out about it driving down M25 just outside of St. Clair, in Michigan, one month after getting my car, knew about similiar "niceties" from riding motorcycles though.

interesting to see the replies here. i'll wave at anyone driving one of these things. why not? They are shelling out all this money so that our favourite manufacturer can continue to make great cars. i don't care if it's a yuppy who is buying it as a status symbol or a soccer mum who doesn't like the lincoln navigator, as long as porsche continues to make 911's and the like then i'll wave. i know that their money is going to a good cause even if they don't.
