How easy is it to remove the door panel?
I’m having trouble with my driver side view mirror. I started a thread how to repair it but realized it wouldn’t be an easy disassemble to get to the affected motor.
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cayenne-macan-forum/1116184-folding-mirror-inop.html So I bought a used mirror off eBay, same color of my vehicle. I have seen Wayne’s write up how to remove the door panel to access the mirror wiring. It looks simple enough. . . any insight from the gang? I hate removing interior panels, they never seem to go back on the same.

I didn't think it was too difficult when I replaced the regulator on my passenger door...but it took a while and some patience. If I recall, there were quite a few videos online of doing the regulator that showed the process.

I’ll admit I am so not looking forward to removing the door panel I am considering building a 16 pin pigtail to splice into the existing wiring at the side view mirror selector switch.
Basically build a connection where the torx screws hold mirror to the door. EDIT: Despite my reservations I was able to remove the door panel and complete the project. The trick was having the proper tools to do the job. I bought a set of plastic door panel removal tools off eBay. It made the job much easier to do.
