Front console drink cover repair.
Here is my write up on how I did my front drink cover repair.
Total time 10 minutes Part number 7L5 862 531 (black) Procedure: 1) Remove shift trim https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-Cayenne/11-BODY-Shift_Gate_Trim_Replacement/11-BODY-Shift_Gate_Trim_Replacement.htm ![]() 2) Disconnect electrical connection and using the same Torx driver remove the cup holder box. NOTE: In this photo the screws are silver Phillips head machine screws. ![]() 3) Slide broken cover out of cup holder box. 4) Slide new cover in cup holder box. 5) Assembly is reverse of disassembly. ![]()

Good to know these are fixable. Mine's really stiff due to, presumably, many spilled lattes by prevoius owner.

I would go ahead and take it apart anyway, clean out the cover and the track. Likely coffee goo is causing resistance in the slide action.
