Help - Replace Hybrid Charge Port Door Latch Solenoid
 

Hoping to find someone that has repaired/replaced the charge port door latch solenoid on a Cayenne Hybrid or similar. From a web search this appears to be a common weakness on Porsche-Audi-VW. Moisture gets down the latch shaft and eventually the unit fails from corrosion. I think this is the Porsche part: "Release Solenoid - Porsche (PAB-862-153). Trying to figure out if the access to remove and replace is from behind the fender well, or does the charge port unit just snap-in/pop out. There's one small screw visible on the port assembly but it doesn't seem to be securing the port in place.
