Okay, what is the opinion. Purchase an X5 or wait until the Porsche Cayenne comes out? From what I can tell, the new Cayenne will be priced (the intro model), sort of in the same range as the X5 is?

Im wondering just how the two could compare. As far as I can tell, what would a 400HP+ SUV that outlaps the 911 at the Nurburgring be used for? I highly doubt many people would be actually taking them off road. Looking at the ground clearance, it looks as though the X5 has it beat. I'd be more willing to take an X5 out in the mud then the pepperwagen.

I've owned a X-5 for 11 months now. If you get the 4.4 engine and the sports suspension, you have 80% of the very expensive Turbo Cayenne.

Why do you think they made the cayenne? Maybe because everybody else is and it sells. But I think PORSCHE is getting back into the rally scene.

80% ? I test drove the Cayenne at Hallendale and they perform very simular sports driving. Offroad the BMW overshadows the porshe.
BTW -- This is the turbo that I'm refering to... |
