DIY Technical Info
 

Is anyone else frustrated by the lack of DIY and tech info for our Pepper's? The biggest reason the other forum topics are so well followed is the DIY advice and how-to's. I realize that most people consider the Pepper to be a "girl's car", but they still need to be fixed. I have found a few gems on the web, but nothing like what PP hosts for the other P cars. I changed the battery's a few weeks back and that in itself was a nightmare to figure out the shortcuts (like not removing the seat, just rotating it backwards). I have de-snorked mine, changed the side lenses to white and done plugs, oil changes, etc. Each time is trial by fire. I want to do the brakes next but I keep hearing rumors of the enormous torque values required.
Does anyone else out here actually turn their own wrenches on their Pepper? Maybe we could start creating some DIY stuff for the PP site? Who knows?

I do some of the work on the cayenne. definitely much easier on the 996 but I manage to get most of it done. I've done oil changes, front and rear pads, front rotors. attempted the rear rotors, but couldn't get the car high enough to access the caliper bolts to remove them. between this forum and renntech, I manage to get the info I need to complete the basics.

what bolt could you not get off? Top or bottom? It works the best to put your breaker bar or air tool of choice through the cut out in the control arm.
