Man not much going on in this forum

So either these trucks are so reliable (), or not many people own them.

Anyway, I just updated my Nav to the latest version and it was pretty simple, but the dealer wanted to charge me $350 to do it; I laughed in their faces and told them "it's just sticking in a CD right?" I did it myslef without any issues...

I also took my truck on a 1700 Km drive on our last long weekend and I have to say it drove/handled/performed awesome. Passing with the TT is just fantastic; my wife looked over as I was passing two semi's and said "your doing 180!" I said "yeah so, you want to get by these semi's safely don't you?" Anyway the truck was such a joy to take on a long trip, and I got 20 Mpg on the hiway

Cheers,

Bob

I can't complain about my CTT. It's my daily driver, gets me where I want to go and has never left me stranded (something I can't say about my previous daily driver).

I think we finally got it all sorted out. It's the wife's daily driver so mods and upgrades probably won't happen. It's not like the 930 where I'm always wanting to tweak something.

I'd love to mod my 05 up, but it's still under warranty and the dealer is uber sticky on this (had to pay for two new MAF's because they said my BMC's fowled them).

I've got Fabspeed bypass pipes, but I'm not sure I'll put them on until warranty is out next year. Maybe a chip as well, but I'm gunshy about intakes now.

The truck runs great so that's another side (and the cost) of me not wanting to do too much.

Gotta change a cornering light today, but other than that not much maintenance....

I just changed the amber corners for the euro spec clear ones... I think they look a little bit nicer.

I guess I've been unlucky. Got hit with ignition coils and coolant pipes in rapid succession. Ouch.

No I already did the clear corners, I'm talking about the cornering lights; they seem to blow like popcorn in my truck.

As far as the coils, BTDT, I just wish the coolant tubes would go before my warranty goes.

pour some coolant down the back of your motor and drive into the dealer with an "unknown coolant leak". they will say "coolant pipes" and schedule an appt to do the job.

Not too much coolant or you may kill your starter.

His "coolant leak" spewing coolant all over the starter has already started to diminish the life of the starter and will start making noise soon enough if it hasn't already and should be replaced as part of the job.

Thinking of buying used.

How well do the TT's stand up to milage? How much life does a 120,000 CTT have left in it?

the new hybrid looks intriguing. 28.3 real world MPG, 0-60 in 6.1, and room.

That is hard to beat...

Not really any more issues than most cars. I think their biggest downfall has been the original owners being too picky.

The "warranty and repairs" thread on Rennlist is 12 pages long after 4 years.

Ask what boost to run on a 944 turbo and the thread will be 12 pages long in 30 minutes.

Do they have a few "issues"? Sure. But nothing to *Really* complain about compared to any other car on earth, IMO.

Compared to my previous daily driver the Cayenne TT is God-send. I've only had one issue (leaky sunroof drain) that hasn't been basic maintenance related.
