Do you guys take your Cayenne to PCA gatherings?
I was driving the wife's CS and using the tiptronic feature. I was getting on it and pushing it pretty good. I had a smile I couldn't get rid of. I really tossed this thing around and was really impressed. Going in I was like 'it's just an suv' but now I have a different outlook on these things. So I was thinking about taking it to a 'spirited' drive with our group but haven't done it just because it's an suv. Have you guys taken your suv on a 'spirited' PCA drive?

dig up TOP GEAR's episode testing the Cayenne.
you can see what it can really do at speed, without risking your license, or your ride. --R

I take it to all the PCA events. It drags the DE car and I drive it for our "other" driving events.

My friend takes his turbo to any event. A Porsche is a Porsche. However, during the touring class at American Le Mans Series @ Road America, SUV's were not allowed. The emergency medical vehicle was a Cayenne Turbo. Car racists...

No, Not really. It's not considered a real Porsche. No one really cares. I take my 914-6.
It's kind of like how the 928 has been treated around here. Mark ___________________ ___________________ 04 Cayenne Turbo 06 Cayenne S 70 914-6 Original Ower |

First post? You need to post pics and an introdution! In the 'clubs' opinion a Porsche is a Porsche, but not in the 'real' world. "They" look down on most front/mid engine versions, so an SUV is blasfemie!

I take my CT to many events. I just lead a group on a trip up to New Hyde NY a few weeks back. Didn't feel like taking out the others that day. We have Cayenne's show up at most all events even some DE's and not just towing their track cars. In fact as a tow vehicle there are more Cayenne's at our DE's towing than any other make of tow vehicle except maybe Kenworth Semi's.
There is a lot of respect for Cayenne's in our region as there should be. Awesome vehicle. handles and accelerates like nothing else in its class Turbo at least. Be proud and show off your Cayenne you paid good $$ for it and it is as much a Porsche as any other model. If others don't appreciate them it is their loss.
