Doing My First oil change.
Going to do my first oil change on my 05 Cayenne S.
Any tips? Special tools? Oh and how long from start to finish. Thanks Tim. |
|
Got to do mine soon too. Do you have any pictures of the drain plugs location wise?
Cheers Bob |
I meant to take photos and journal the event, but it turned into a rush job, the car was packed and had to leave the house at 5am!.
Few tips though: 1. When taking off the filter loosen then slip a big zip lock bag over it then remove. The oil gushes out, so the bag catches all. Slip the filter onto the exposed tube then screw the filter housing onto the threads. Removing and reinstalling the two bottom plastic plates took most of the time. I did some cleaning while under there. So the whole job took me 2 hours! Good luck Bob! |

Thanks island, hey my ashtray is stuck too. It's a coin holder though :). Hw do you get the silver faceplate off around the cluster?
Thanks |
silver faceplate: I've never had mine off, so I don't know. (I'm guessing that it's press in straight / pulls out straight ...d/k)
