NYC fuel shortage advice

So as everyone knows by now it is becoming all but impossible to find gas for your car here in NY. The stations that are open only have regular gas no high test. My question is should I use octane booster in my Cayenne and if I do will it do any damage to any sensors? Also I have a brand new 2013 BMW 335 should I use the booster in that also? Can using regular gas cause issues with ignition system or valves or does the computer compensate for the lower octane? Believe it or not even octane booster is impossible to find luckily I have some for my other toys that I use it for
