Air filters and the Cayenne

I have heard that some air filters are supposed to improve performance and even gas mileage ( ???)
Has anyone experimented with different air filters in their Pepper??

I put an EVO instake on my CTT, didn't notice any difference in performance but with the IPD plenum (which I did notice a slight difference with) the sound is great.

Makes a difference with the throttle and gets rid of some of the lag as well.
