Very Difficult to find a 'Special Cayenne'

Hello.
Plenty of Cayenne's out there, though not really much that grabs me along with affordability.

We found 2 that I would be excited to drive/own but it never came to fruition, due mainly to distance.

-05-07 Turbo with the right wheels and color is difficult to find.

-Titanium Edition is even more difficult to come across.

I do not wish to offend anyone but I am now open to an SUV purchase whereas before I wouldn't be caught dead in one.

I am very picky though and it must have the right stuff so to speak.

Not terribly easy and waay harder than I imagined.
sigh.
just whining.

Just found my PIG

Have to give up my 00 Boxster S.

Wife said I had to have 4 seats to haul the kids around as backup soccer mom ---
ok -- really VBall dad -- but same thing.

Thought about many 4 door sedans -- but then came to appreciate
I could now haul my track/race cars too -- so PIG it is.

'08 CTT 18K miles -- coming my way sometime around Turkey Day.....

Mike

If I'm going to drive a SUV -- I won't be caught if I have a TT :-)

Good Choice, specially since the 2008 - on Cayenne should not suffer from the dreaded plastic cooling pipes issues.:)

I am about to list an 08 Cayenne for sale. V6 with 6 speed manual trans. Great SUV with 3 pedals!!! Not easy to find. Jarama Beige with gray interior. 42K miles with 2 sets of wheels: 18" 5 double spoke with all-weather Michelins and 20" Sport Techno Wheels with summer Michelins. Many Porsche accessories and recent 40K maintenance (plugs, air and cabin filter)

.

Well, here is your problem:D

First off there is no 07 Cayenne. They skipped a year from the 955 to 957 facelift. SmileWavy

Secondly, the only real difference between an 04 and 05/05 is the CD based nav vs the DVD based nav. Mechanically they are the same, the MYTH of them being less reliable is due to there being more 04s on the road than 05/06 COMBINED! It's a mathematical issue that has created a skewed perception. Open your search to 04 and you will quite literally double your search pool!

Are you searching for a Turbo or a "Titanium Edition" S? The "Titanium Edition" was only a 2006 "S", it was never offered in a Turbo and it was only a color/trim package anyway. A standard Turbo tends to get more options stock than the "Titanium Edition" adds.

Good luck!SmileWavy

Why is there no 07 Cayenne.

If you look as the production and sales numbers you will see a decrease from 2004 to 2006. So they probably took a year to redesign and tool up for the facelifted 2008-2010 model.

Happens all the time in the car world. For example there is no 1996 Jeep Wrangler either.

Usually they just keep selling the current model as the new model year, but sales don't always work out that way.
