What size tires for 22" rims

Just put 18" snow tires on my Cayenne S. Before it had 22" rims with 265/40/22's on them that worked pretty well but were an offbrand Hankook maybe. Would like to put Michelins on it but they only come in 265/30/22 and 295/40/22. Thw 30 aspect seems to low for occassional rough roads. The 295/40/22's I worry about clearance especially over the big red brake upgrade. Any Suggestions? btw I got 40,000 miles on the HanKooks.

Wow I had 20's and the ride was poor at best over rough roads, I can't imaging 22's

Gosh that was helpful Bob. Maybe somebody on here can answer my question rather than being rhetorical

Golly Bob. I figured that since you couldn't imagine 22's after having 20's that you would be able to give advice. Nevertheless would welcome your opinion on this public forum.

Fine,

Are you running 10's all around or staggered widths?

You say you don't want to run 30's correct, as this is what most people run on 22's

You can get Pirelli Scorpions and Kumho Ecsta's in 265/40/22's

Thanks Bob. Really want Michelins. The Hankooks I have (had - not much tread left) were 265/40/22 and I drive a little bit on unimproved and gravel roads so I want some beef, but more on nice roads at 70+mph. What do you think of 295/40/22?
Any possible fitment problem in the wheel wells?

not sure who youre buying the tires through. but when i bought my tires from discount tire, i didnt like them and they swapped them for others. find a good place that will let you find the right tire for your rig.

great looking pair of porsches!

I run a 285/35/22 BFG KDW2 on my summer wheels. Think the ride is fine.
