Part out or fix? '04 Turbo-one owner
I searched for over 2 years for the right turbo and after a lot of back and forth, then shipping to LA.....my wife crashed my black/grey Turbo on the 405!

oops...hit return before finishing.
it had just over 100k miles and had virtually every option from the factory and was owned by an obsessive car collector. He used in Dallas as his commuter and had 19 pages of service records. He knew the water pumps were an issue, so every time he did scheduled service...he had them replace it. He also had the coolant tubes and all other suggested maintenance done. The 3m clear bra is gone alone with the front bumper :) but the fenders still have it and everything except the front bumper, hood, windshield, radiator and lights are in great condition. I think the insurance company is going to consider it a total loss though. I just started and moved it into the garage today after filling the fluids. It does have a slight leak.....Oh yeah, both airbags went off. It will have a salvage title but am thinking I could get more just parting out. Another option would be to not replace the bumper, radiator, hood and xenons and turn it into a really cool MAD-Max inspired ride with an exo-skeleton cage. (Jim Pierce builds my roll cages and a lot of cages here for POC, PCA and NASA) and rally lights, roof rack etc. Any thoughts, experiences, suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks, Jason |
Well, there are quite a few of them out there, so it might be worth finding another and parting that one out.
Of course, I say that because I need a few odd parts if you decide to part it out. :D While there are a lot out there, they seem fairly scarce in junkyards still. |
thanks
