Coolant smell in cabin
I've got my project 955 on the road and all is good except the slight smell of coolant inside the cabin. I know this signals a heater core issue in most cases, but with all the plastic coolant pipe issues, I'm wondering what's up. Is there another possible cause? There are no visible leaks, I don't smell coolant outside the car and the expansion bottle stays full. Any help or ideas?

your losing coolant but not enuf to leak down. it sits in the valley of the motor and stews. If your getting a low coolant light but see none, its "the sign" its alittle leak now. time for coolant pipes before the hole gets bigger. got to rennlist and read the cayenne forum. plenty of info.

First find out if your coolant pipes have been done already. If so then I would say it is the coolant Ts. The Ts are only on the turbo, so if you have the S ignore this. Do it or get it done before it fails completely. The good news is that the Ts are cheap. THe bad is you need to take out the intake manifold as if you are doing the coolant pipes. If your pipes have not been done, do the Ts while you are in there. The pipes had been done on my 05 CTT, but not the Ts. One failed the day before yesterday. Fixing it now.
