Self wiring Cayenne for a trailer

My dealer wants $500 to install the wiring on my 2008 Cayenne for towing. Seems like I could do this. Can anyone help?

Pay the money. I once tried to take to indi shop and it ended up costing me huge money. They screwed up the back wire harness. You could check parts availablity for the factory porsche harness and try and install that yourself.

I think there is a connector inside the right rear fender behind the removable panel that the trailer harness connects to. If you get the factory harness it should just plug right in. I had an issue with mine not working once and I remember checking the power at that connection. Take a look back there.

It's easy, I did it myself in about 2-hours. Works great just take your time and do a quality job with heat shrink tubing and electrical tape. Go for it!
