Rebuild or total?
Hi All,
I have a 2005 Turbo with 75k miles that I purchased in December. 2 weeks ago, at 5mph, I rear-ended a small van. No airbags, just front-end damage. Well, the insurance estimate is now up to $14K. It didn't get back to the engine, but took out the radiator and condenser, as well as the body parts (see pic). I'm trying to decide if I can get aftermarket parts (and front grill especially) to cut down the $9k of parts estimate. Any thoughts or direction are very much appreciated. Thanks! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424391499.jpg |
If you don't fix it, someone else probably will.
If you like the car and it has been well maintained, I'd fix it and continue driving it. |
Cayenne parts
I agree.
Those are a blast to drive! If you're patient most of the parts will show up for sale (used) eventually. The color might even match! Good Luck. Peter |
Yikes! - on the price. (that doesn't look like 14k to fix.)

I'd get an aftermarket front bump and pocket as much I could. Only if you are planning on retaining intrinsic value. It will be hard once the FOX has a report on the VIN. Everyone says no to anything that has a scratch reported on it. Ugh...
