Hi there,
my cayenne makes a annoying noise (singing) when temperature outside is above 80 Fahrenheit. While driving I can recognize/hear it from the front/middle oft the car more right than left. When I press the breakepedal the noise changes. After a complete stop the noise is gone for approx. 400meters and then starts again. The noise is not related to rpm, but to speed. In gear-position "N" it is also there. I already checked/renewed brake pads, serpentine belt, put WD40 on every Gear I could reach from underneath the car. Sound sample of the noise (MP3) Sorry for my bad englisch, I am from Germany. Thx Michael |

Does the noise change in corners? --possibly a wheel bearing.
aside: WD40 is a temporary lube at best. It evaporates. Also, clearly not engine rpm noise.
