Water cooled alternator replacement 3.2
 

I have an 04 Cayenne 3.2 V6. The alternator is charging fine but making a loud groaning noise. I wanted to replace it but finding a rebuilt is proving to be tough and the dealer wants almost $2,000 for a new one. I have a Delphi water cooled in there now. I found a Bosch replacement but it states you must use a alternator replacement kit when installing. This kit consists of a few hoses, wires and clamps.
Has anyone here ever replaced one of these on a 3.2 and if so with which brand? Also did anyone ever install one with this re fit kit? What is involved in replacement?
