Water pump change, coolant pipe confirm?

I'm in the process of changing the water pump on my '04 CTT and am wondering if I will be able to confirm that the prior owner updated to the metal coolant pipes once it is out? If I was to scope the opening created with the water pump removal, should I see anything that can help me determine if I have the old plastic pipes or the updated metal pipes?

Hello - if you do a google search for 'Porsche Cayenne coolant pipe replacement' and click on the Images, you'll see various photos of before and after - it'll be easy for you to tell if the job was done. I'm guessing that the prior owner did this already, as it was a factory recall and free of charge to get replaced. Hope this helps you a bit!
