1/43 scale model kits Uber Rare
A little preemptive as I don't have pictures yet but I just came into possession of a large stash of Metal and resin 1/43 scale (mostly) kits and display cars. Most of these are 1985 and earlier and some are uber rare. I'll follow up as i get my act together.

This is 4 of the 6 hand built (from scratch) models by Vik Skirmants (of 356 Enterprises fame) in the early 80s. I talked to Vik and he told me he chose these models because kits were not available at the time. Less than 50 of each model was produced. In fact this is before the days of quality built models like minichamps, Spark, and Quartzo. Back then if you wanted a built model you either had to do it yourself or find a builder. Many of todays model companies like minichamps got their start by selling kits. The kits though have been out of production since the 80s because the built versions sold so well.

AMR Ruf Kuenzel Speedster

I looked all over the internet and asked some 356 old timers and I have not been able to find out anything about the Kunzel speedster. It must have been significant though because they made a model of it. Bosica 1/43 Diecast 356A
At first glance this might appear to be a regular 356 model, but under closer examination you will see this kit has at least twice as many parts as the average kits, and the quality is twice as good. Brass formed opening doors and deck lids with frames. Also has detailed engine and trunk. Many chromes and photo etched parts. This kit is definitely not for the beginner.
