PRICE CHECK "Carrera RS" book #316/3000
I have seen some pretty high prices on the book: Carrera RS" published in 1992, the English Edition that is now out of print. "written and published by Dr. Thomas Gruber".
I have "like new", the limited edition # 316 out of 3000 published. What, if anyone can tell me is the current value? T.G.

I have seen used books in good condition go for $500 to $1000 and Mint unopened ones go for $1500 to $2500.

Carrera RS published by DR. Thomas Gruber and DR. Georg Konradsheim.
I have one, # 2487/3000. In perfect condition. Can anyone tell me what it's worth?

Frozenrotors,
In the past month, 2 of these books have sold for over US $1,100. the most valuable ones are the ones that can match one of the serial # of these Carrera RS Porsches, so any number under 1500 (the number of RS with a chassis number to match the book #) are worth the most, sorry! T.G.

Thanks,
I had the car, however the book was in storage when the car sold. I am not sure of the where abouts of the car now, since it was sold over 10 years ago. |

Guys:
Before you spend big bucks for one of these RS books, be aware that it is being updated for a new edition, Coming at some unannounced date, it is likely to have more information and will likely make the original edition worth a mere fraction of the crazy prices now being asked. Back in the Old Daze, my business, Toad Hall Motorbooks, imported the original edition, which--at the time--was not an easy sell! Frank |

So is that to say...don't buy a book from someone who has already paid the premium price 'new' with the hopes they may be of increased value in the future? But buy a book from your company because it's cheaper (although currently less than a previous edition) and you'd like the business? I guess I'm missing your point here!

It's simply stated: first I did a "price check" (see above). Now it is sold, no less no more!
