I sold my 67 912 not too long ago for similar money. Much better shape than that car.

That being said, if you can get that thing for anything under $15k, buy it and drive the **** out of it.

Yeah, IF it's safe to drive in its current condition. You want to be able to drive a Porsche like a Porsche and have fun (no matter what the model)- not worry about putting your feet through the floor.

There is basically no passenger floor on my 73 914. Previous owner took an MDF folding table and cut a panel to replace the floor. While the seat cross beam is unrusted and sound I didn’t bother telling my wife about the wooden floor the couple times I gave her a ride in it.

If the budget is $20k, you’re really gonna struggle to find a decent running driving Longnose without major long term needs. Personally I would be looking g body or 914.

I can't get my heart to the 914. no knock on those that love them and if i had a ton of money i'd probably have one just to round out my collection, but the lines and look of a 914 vs a 911, there's no contest for me.

They have their place and are cool, but not something i'm probably going to chase. I guess i gotta get my paper up or hope for a porsche bubble.

thanks,
