Value of Under Dash Vent Setup For AC '75

Hey I am trying to get myself out of the 911 engine rebuild doldrums and trying to raise coin for new pistons/cylinders so I am cleaning out everything that I do not and will not ever need in the hopes I can get this car going this year.

I have a AC setup (dealer installed at Vasek in 1975 on a '75) with the vents, etc attached to the bottom of the dash as one large unit. What do you think this piece is worth ? I have no idea as I usually do not see them.

SexySal, this is no actual help regarding cost, and is pretty much common sense, but if you are patient, it will bring a lot of coin to a person that is looking to add a/c to their non-factory a/c 911.

For the sake of loose comparison, someone that installed a complete, new system in a non-factory a/c 911 a couple of years ago, spent about $3k in parts.

This goes back nearly ten years, but we had a couple of those when I was at Carquip and depending on how nice they were, we were had them priced at $800-1000. This was only the underdash assembly and none of the other hard parts like compressor or condenser, etc.

Thanks guys. This is by no means a complete system. The compressor was gone when I got the car - and I proceeded to strip off the huge hoses mounted from the front to back under the right rocker and heaved those early on. I plan on removing the blower and condenser in the smugglers box and was in the process of heaving that too. In all honesty the only good part that looks even remotely usable is the dash part with vents. I plan on never having AC in the car - so maybe someone can use it and I can add that in for the pistons/cylinders. I will take some pics.

I would suggest that you not heave the blower and evaporator assembly that's in the smuggler's box; while those parts might prove to be unusable, they will help someone decide what parts to get in order to do their own install (aka - someone would love to buy them "as is", for parts).

Good idea. It seems it has been disconnected for decades. It still may be usable to someone.
