Price check: 993 C2

Hey... I'm looking to get back into 993's after selling mine 6yrs ago. What do people think about this car: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-marketplace/1093189-1996-porsche-911-coupe.html

It seems high to me (even compared to BAT prices) but what the hell do I know... I sold both my cars at their low price points  I don't want to get burned again.

Suspension is original so that would be the first to go.

I have flirted with purchasing one and have been watching the market. I agree the price is 2-4K too high. I would rather have a a car with more miles than a car with needs. Needs Wheels, suspension,

Really depends on the maintenance history. It would have to be mechanically sound to fetch their asking and have trail of history to prove it (top end rebuild etc..) If there any expensive issues that pop up after a thorough PPI the price should come down. That car doesn't look that nice IMO. Looks like both front fenders are repainted. There's a nice looking 95 that just came up on PCA.

As others have said. It's all about condition and history. It may be a few grand high especially if you don't like the wheels. Or, it might be a decent deal depending on what's been done and what it needs.

I actually dig the wheels on that Adventurine Green.
Car doesn't look unreasonable for the $. Probably could offer a couple/few k under.
Fall is around the corner.

As if the price craters in the fall?

I like the wheels, especially on a green car but I don't like the interior color. Seems strange to me that the seats are so worn with only 50K miles but the gear shift looks brand new.

I inquired about the '95 black car but it's already has a deposit.

I like the car.... always liked that color. Have a PPI done, make them an offer. If not like they're 10 grand high. Its also not like there is a mystery in the value of these things. My thought on any of these cars is simple. Don't let a grand get in the way of buying the one you want. Over 20 years as a trader I wasn't worried about trying to buy the bottom or selling the top, thats just luck. I am sure if you look long and hard you could come up with one you like at a slightly cheaper price. Big deal.

Replaced the shift boot and knob. Very easy.
