good question.

somewhere between olive, irish and leaf green.

looks a little too dark in that pic, but could be olive green, and was available on the SC if memory serves...

dwelle 09-21-2018 04:35 PM

looks to be olive...

Porsche has had a couple of diff. olive greens. I think you are right about the color. This was put on some G body cars

rhart 09-21-2018 04:38 PM

If you google the color you come up with a few iterations.

pmax 09-21-2018 05:02 PM

I say it's a repaint.

nathanbs 09-21-2018 05:14 PM

Yeah definitely huge difference between the Olive used on the G body as posted by dwelle and that car

pingpong 09-22-2018 03:06 AM

olive for sure but yeah hard to see, one is an inside showroom picture with special lighting & the other outside, beautiful color.

Olive

rhart 09-22-2018 06:57 AM

I don't know why this car is sticking in my mind. I'm not even a green guy but suddenly I love this color. Course it doesn't hurt that the car is in stellar condition

dg567 09-22-2018 07:04 AM

is the g body olive different than the long hoods?

rhart 09-22-2018 08:18 AM

Way different

dg567 09-22-2018 08:27 AM

ya because my 72 doesn't look like that.

I'd have to check a mid year color chart to be certain but in that lighting it looks a helluva lot more
like Avocado Green because of the shade more than anything ..
Very well could be a version of leaf green actually..

I’m with you. If it is Olive it was poorly matched and repainted

to the best of my memory, leaf green wan't available in the IB cars.

i did a bunch of research when i decided to paint mine leaf green, but that was some time ago.

Yeah it’s consistent with the others in that thread but the rear indoor shot is whole different shade. I have seen another that same shade so maybe early 70’s versus late 70’s

A lot has to do with the camera and the lighting. Could even be Irish Green depending on camera filters and lighting

al lkosmal 09-23-2018 08:49 AM

Willow Green

Lighting plays a big part. My 914 was L63K, Willow Green and , depending on the lighting, would look very much like the OP's color.
